WHY SERIOUS ANGLERS CHOOSE ISOLATION OUTFITTERS

First up, the name. Isolation Outfitters captures what got us into this business in the first place: exploring isolated, extraordinary waters and sharing some of the world’s great fly fishing experiences.

We are a specialist fly-fishing travel company, but we are also continually out there ourselves – fishing these destinations, hosting trips, working with lodges and guides, and exploring new fisheries.

That makes a difference.

WE ACTUALLY GO THERE

We believe there is a considerable difference between selling a fishing destination and knowing it.

Our team spends a lot of time in the field. We fish the lodges we represent, host trips throughout the year and continually explore new destinations and fisheries.

It means the advice you receive is based on experience rather than a lodge brochure.

And sometimes we will tell you that somewhere is not right for you.

WE ARE NOT PAID TO FILL PARTICULAR LODGES

We do not hold volume contracts, room allocations or back-room deals that dictate where we send anglers.

That is deliberate.

We select lodges, guides and destinations because we think they are exceptional. We recommend them according to the fishing you are looking for, the time of year, your ability, appetite for adventure and expectations around comfort.

Our job is not to fill somebody else’s beds. It is to put you in the right place.

YOU WILL NOT PAY MORE THAN BOOKING DIRECT

The price of a lodge booked through Isolation Outfitters is no higher than booking the same stay directly.

What you gain is another layer of experience around it.

We can help with international and domestic flights, transfers, hotels, equipment, timing and the dozens of small logistical decisions surrounding a serious fishing trip.

Sometimes careful planning can even create an additional fishing day.

For complicated itineraries, that is often where our involvement becomes particularly valuable.

WE BUILD TRIPS THAT ARE NOT SITTING ON A SHELF

Some of our favourite trips do not fit neatly into a standard seven-night lodge package.

We combine fisheries, lodges and regions; organise private transfers and aircraft where they make sense; and build hosted expeditions into places that can be difficult to reach independently.

At the more adventurous end, that can mean remote Pacific islands, wilderness camps, helicopters and exploratory fisheries.

At the other end, it might mean a superb lodge, excellent food and wine, and everything running exactly when it is supposed to.

Adventure does not have to mean discomfort.

WE ARE STILL THERE WHEN YOU ARE TRAVELLING

Our involvement does not end when your deposit is paid.

We are available before and during your trip by phone and email and, when we are in the field, through expedition satellite communications.

If weather changes a flight, luggage goes missing or a transfer does not appear, it is useful to have somebody who understands both your itinerary and the destination helping to sort it out.

That is also why we pay so much attention to logistics before anyone leaves home.

EXPLORATION WITH PURPOSE

Wild places and healthy fisheries are fundamental to everything we do.

Through the Wild Waters Fund, a portion of every Isolation Outfitters trip contributes to protecting and restoring fisheries and the environments that sustain them.

We call it exploration with purpose.

AND THEN THERE IS THE ISOLATION CLUB…

Some places do not belong in a conventional travel catalogue.

The Isolation Club is for anglers interested in pushing considerably further into remote fisheries, exploratory trips and places that are not necessarily ready, or suitable, for mainstream fishing tourism.
