FLY FISHING LODGES – OUR PARTNERSHIP CRITERIA
We’re global anglers just like you. And busy with family, work and personal commitments too.
The idea of undertaking a fly fishing adventure and being let down by a poor lodge experience is simply not acceptable to us as anglers. It shouldn’t be for you also. So we’ve spent years exploring, fishing, plotting and planning, and refining our destinations. The lodges are a critical part of our decision making.
Rather than upload a database of global locations and competing fly fishing lodges, we have chosen to personally curate a very short list of remote angling locations and accompany your adventure with lodge accommodation that we trust. So you can too.
We either work directly with the owners to fine-tune their offering for our clients, or partner with them to bring a new lodge to market. Either way, we’re not interested in reselling a standard package. You’ll see this with our wines and fresh fruit on the table at Ikari House in CXI, courtesy ultra-premium Epic fly fishing equipment at Rio Grande Lodge in Patagonia, or the wild game and special seafoods we select for your menu at New Zealand premium lodges we work alongside.
At Isolation Outfitters, this is our speciality. Arranging highly planned, small team expeditions to chase trophy freshwater and saltwater species.

LAS SEGADAS LODGE, TIERRA DEL FUEGO
New water on Tierra del Fuego’s fabled Rio Grande has opened up for the 2025/26 season. Book quickly to secure your week during February or March 2026. This lodge can only be booked through us at Isolation Outfitters.
Note: Las Segadas Lodge is in Chile, not Argentina, so fly into Santiago and down to Punta Arenas. We’ll meet you at the airport. This lodge has ultra-premium Epic single and double-handed fly rods and reels for our guests to enjoy during their stay with us. -
TAIL INN LODGE, MEXICO
The Tail Inn on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula offers the typical packaged trips of 7 nights/6 days or 5 nights/4 days fishing, but with some exceptional difference that make it the place to base yourself for permit and bonefish.
This is a lodge that won’t settle with being compared to its Caribbean Sea neighbours. There are many facets of this operation that will pleasantly surprise the visiting saltwater angler. Visit our page on the Tail Inn Lodge to explore this destination.
-
IKARI HOUSE, CHRISTMAS ISLAND
Ikari House is our current choice as the best fishing lodge on Kiritimati for these reasons – less drive time to boats, priority access to the fast boats, a short walk to shops for fruit/wine/etc, great cooked breakfast, and exceptional kitchen and room staff.
Christmas Island (Kiritimati) is a remote fly fishing atoll with mile‑wide lagoon flats, bonefish by the thousands, giant trevally, triggers, plus offshore tuna and wahoo if you want to ask your boatman to push out beyond the breakers. -
FIORDLAND LODGE, NEW ZEALAND
The southwest corner of New Zealand’s South Island is home to mouse-eating, aggressive wild brown trout of epic proportions. Te Anau is a good base for a week of exploration angling. We can arrange an itinerary, guides, great dining and wilderness expeditions (daily or overnight) to some of the best fly fishing you will ever experience, anywhere on Planet Earth.
-
PORONUI LODGE, NEW ZEALAND
Come on our two person fly fishing expeditions into remote South Island locations (guided by NZPFGA members). Our focus is on exploring remote wilderness rivers with multi-day camps utilising backcountry huts as base camps and tents to reach unpressured water.
-
THE LINDIS, NEW ZEALAND
With our local connections, we can arrange every aspect to your luxury stay at The Lindis. Bookings need to be made over a season ahead so get in touch with plenty of time to add a stay in the spectacular Ahuriri Valley to your South Island luxury fly fishing itinerary.
-
WORLD'S END LODGE, TIERRA DEL FUEGO
You simply can’t fly into Ushuaia without driving through to the awe-inspiring and unforgettable World’s End Lodge to fish the stunning Río Irigoyen. This is as remote and isolated as any fly angling trip on earth could be. That’s why we, at Isolation Outfitters reckon it’s a must-fish destination.
-
JURASSIC LODGE, LAGO STROBEL, ARGENTINA
Imagine following up a trip chasing huge sea-run Browns on the Rio Grande with a detour to catch some of the largest Rainbows in the world at Argentina’s Jurassic Lake.
We have partnered with Jurassic Lake Lodge to provide a four night stay as part of a comprehensive package to Argentine Patagonia to fish for both trophy sea-run brown trout and trophy rainbows.
-
WUIJOOR LODGE, TIERRA DEL FUEGO
Located on the Isla Grande in Tierra del Fuego, Wuijoor Lodge is situated 60km southwest of the city of Rio Grande, Argentina, within the grounds of the Estancia Laura. Wuijoor Lodge, was founded in 2023 utilising a remodelled ranch house built in the 1930’s, and caters for up to six anglers with first class dining.
Fishing is primarily on the fabled Menendez River with other steppe streams accessible in this remote destination.
Expect to fish for sea-run Brown Trout up to 12kg (26lb) and resident Brown and Rainbow Trout up to 2kg (4.5lb).
-
NO NAME FLY LODGE, PUERTO RICO
